There are 3 main requirements you will have to meet to qualify for the Live-in Caregiver Program in Canada. They are:
Six months training OR twelve months experience in paid employment as a child caregiver and/or elderly caregiver (excluding work for a relative). The experience must have been obtained within the three years prior to the day on which you submit an application for an employment authorization to a visa officer.
English speaking - you must be fluent in reading, writing and oral speech.
Successful completion of the equivalent of a Canadian High School education, which is usually a minimum of 2 years at a college or University level for most countries. A college diploma in the areas of midwifery, nursing, education/teaching or business/computers is an asset.
